St. Mary's Church, has 12thC origins - the original building probably dates from early in the 12thC. A typical ancient village church, thought to have been built on the site of an Anglo-Saxon church. The present building is of Norman origin, however, owing to many alterations and repairs carried out over the centuries little of the original structure remains. Mid-19thC major repairs give the south aspect of the church a very Victorian appearance.
