All Saints Church, consecrated in 1887, is a fine example of Gothic Revival architecture and its interior contains some excellent Victorian wood carving. The Saints are the theme of its stained glass windows which date from 1887 - 1981. The well-proportioned tower of the church is visable on all sides; it houses ten bells and is surmounted by a battlement and flagstaff. Originally the church served a large area which extended towards Dinnington, Ponteland, Whorlton and Sugley. However in recent years new parishes have been created at Cowgate, Kenton and in the Fawdon area, leaving All Saints responsible for much of the central area of Gosforth.
