The Bruce Building (1896 - 1900) Architect: Joseph Oswald Location: Percy Street, Newcastle upon Tyne. This elaborately decorated internal window is the 'hatch' for the front of the enquiry office or 'Inquiry Office' as the lettering says. The mahogany frame surrounds delicately etched glass panels. A curved ledge projects from beneath the window for enquirers to lean upon. The decorated glass panels of the Inquiry Office window mirror those within the internal entrance doors which stand directly opposite.
