The Durham Light Infantry SocietyFormed in 1975 as a tribute to the origins of the DLI by members of the D.L.I. Regimental Association, the Society has always maintained close links with it's parent regiment and the ex-soldier associations of the region. The following images were taken in the grounds of Alnwick Castle during a 'Living History Encampment'. Over the years the Society's Display Team ha sevolved into one of the premier re-enactment and living history groups of its period (1814). The result is its world-wide reputation for its historical accuracy, period training, reasearch and battle field efficiency. The Display Team represents the regiment during the Napoleonic Campaign - during its crucial transformation into the 'eyes and ears' of the army. |
